Add narrow linewidth emission down to 10-20 MHz and excellent wavelength stability and you get the iBeam smart WS - short for wavelength-stabilized.

Applications
Interferometry
In semiconductor manufacturing, perfection is measured in nanometers - or often even less. To measure such minute variations with speed and accuracy, the industry relies on laser-based interferometric metrology - a non-contact, non-destructive optical technique capable of resolving surface and layer thickness with sub-nanometer precision.
Raman spectroscopy
Well-suited for Raman spectroscopy of inorganic materials, for which no fluorescence obscures the Raman signal. Raman intensity depends on the excitation wavelength by a factor 1/λ4. Our lasers for this application allow for a strong Raman signal that remains detectable by Si-based detectors.
Diffuse correlation spectroscopy
DCS is a non-invasive optical technique that uses coherent near-infrared light to measure microvascular blood flow deep within biological tissue. By analyzing rapid speckle intensity fluctuations after the light has scattered through tissue, DCS provides continuous, real-time insights into cerebral and muscle hemodynamics.
HeNe laser replacement
Helium-Neon (HeNe) lasers have been the workhorse of interferometry and precision metrology for decades, providing stable 633 nm emission.
The DFB pro 633 provide the narrow-linewidth and high coherence length that you are used to, at the same wavelength. And it adds Mode-Hop free tunability and ease of integration into your metrology application.
Options
Optical isolation
Prevents potential optical feedback from reaching the laser. Stabilizes output power and spectral behavior of the emission.
Fiber delivery
Fiber delivery is optionally available with TOPTICA's fiber coupler SmartDock.
FiberOut collimator
FiberOut for collimated free-beam delivery. Rugged solution with low handling effort.
Wavelength selection
If the +/- 1 nm are not precise enough for your application, please inquire for wavelength selection down to 0.1 nm.
Cleanup filter
Bandpass filter with typical bandwidth of 6 to 10 nm.
Breakout PCB
Adapter PCB replacing the I/O connector for exposed pins in environments that have very limited space.
External power supply
For direct connection to 100 to 240 VAC mains.
Breadboard adapter
Allows for direct mounting of iBeam smart WS to an optical breadboard or optical table. Beam height will be 40 mm with this adapter. Compatible with both metric and imperial hole patterns.
Switch box
CDRH compliant with key switch, external connectors and manual switches for easy access to iBeam smart WS features.
