DL pro
Narrow linewidth, tunable diode laser
The proven laser solution for quantum applications
DL pro
Narrow linewidth, tunable diode laser
The DL pro is a reliable ECDL made for quantum applications. Based on our +25 years experience in laser technologies, its unique design allows to provide almost all wavelengths between 369 nm and 1770 nm. Thousands of units have been produced so far, with power up to 400 mW and free running linewidth down to 0.6 kHz.
Its digital controller allows a stable performance, the GUI making the remote access easy. This is especially convenient when the DL pro rack version is requested. This laser is fully compatible with the extensive TOPTICA portfolio of driving electronics, software and accessories.
Your Benefits
For all atoms and ions
Lasers at all laser wavelengths between 369 nm and 1770 nm to address most of the relevant optical transitions for quantum applications.
Narrow linewidth
The DL pro patented mechanical design results in the suitable linewidth for the applications where a low frequency noise is required.
Stable operation through digital control
The digital platform DLC pro performs with low current noise, excellent temperature and precise piezo controls to unleash the full potential of your lasers.
Ready-to-order configurations
Our standard laser configurations are simple to order and ready to use for your quantum experiment. Some of these Top Sellers are available from stock for shorter delivery times. If you don't find what you are looking for, you can always assemble a user-defined system.
The right diodes
A large variety of wavelength-selected single-mode laser diodes for your lasers, from standard wavelengths to exotic ones.
Options
Single stage optical isolation
Protects the laser diode from back reflections to prevent damage but also to ensure untroubled single-mode operation and tuning. Also for fiber coupling with angle polished fibers (both ends) a single stage isolator is required.
Dual stage optical isolation
If reflections from the experiment into the laser are expected go for this high isolation option. Also for fiber coupling with non-angle polished fibers a double stage isolator is required.
Fiber delivery
Fiber Delivery (FD) is optionally available with TOPTICA's patented fiber coupler FiberDock and a suitable polarization maintaining (PM) fiber.
Motorization
Control coarse tuning via software interface. Available for most DL pro configurations, with most AR laser diodes and some FP diodes. Not available for DL pro F systems.
Bias-T
Allows current modulation frequencies above 150 MHz and up to several GHz, depending on the diode. Also suited for seed lasers of TA or NLO systems. Compatible with DL pro and DL pro HP, not with DL pro F.
Narrow linewidth
With this option DL pro laser systems are optimized for narrow linewidths. It is also suited for seed lasers of TA or NLO systems as well as lasers of Laser Rack Systems but not for DL pro HP lasers. DL pro F lasers are always optimized for a narrow linewidth.
Beam shaping
To shape elliptical laser beams into round profiles, either an anamorphic prism pair (APP) or cylindrical lenses are used. The compression ratio is set at the factory.
Locking and other electronics modules
For DLC pro, the versatile DLC pro LOCK option is available as well as FALC pro and PDH/DLC pro modules. With DLC ext a number of analog locking modules is available.
